ARCTIC ADVENTURE AWAITS AT NORTH POLE REUNION FAMILY DAY MAY 15

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the landmark polar expedition achieved by Minnesotans Will Steger, Ann Bancroft, Paul Schurke, Canada’s Brent Boddy and Richard Weber, and Geoff Carroll and Bob McKerrow from New Zealand. Experience the challenge of their historic journey with family-friendly activities:

• Experience an Arctic base camp and meet a sled dog
• Dress for an expedition
• Learn how climate change is affecting the Arctic through hands-on activities
• Guess Arctic trivia and win prizes
• Create a Northern Lights picture and make Expedition Sun Goggles
• Book signing with team members
• Enjoy music with Minnesota singer/songwriter Ann Reed

 

The Will Steger Foundation, the Consulate General of Canada and the Minnesota Historical Society are hosting the event which is free with museum admission.

About the Minnesota History Center:

The Minnesota History Center is located at 345 Kellogg Blvd. W. in St. Paul. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays (admission is free on Tuesdays from 5 to 8 p.m.), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
